Poets vs Rappers

DING, DING, DING! Are you ready for another exciting round of POETS vs RAPPERS? 

Talented poets and rappers will do verbal combat for CA$H and bragging rights. Who has the dopest lyrics, cleverest wit, and the sweetest delivery? The audience (YOU) will be the judge of that. 16 wordsmiths (8 Poets and 8 Rappers) are gonna put the LIT in literature in this lyrical battle royale! 

Prizes:

$300 first place (And the title, “The Tightest”) 

$200 second place

$100 third place

Poets vs Rappers is a fierce competition, but the spirit of the event is to bring the artistry (and fans) of poetry and rap together. 

Place: Living Arts of Tulsa (307 E. Reconciliation Way in Tulsa, OK)

Date: Saturday, July 15, 2023

Time: DOORS OPEN AT 7pm; the battle begins at 7:30pm.

Cost: $15 in advance (until 5pm on Saturday, July 15th); $20 at the door.

DJ Ed Lyles will get the party rocking with great music and the bartender(s) will keep the party going with some of your favorite libations. We’re gonna have a wonderful time, y’all!

Bring your family and friends. There will be adult language and content in the performances (but no racial or sexual orientation slurs), so parental guidance is advised. You’ll also get to peruse the fabulous multi-media art exhibition at Living Arts of Tulsa. (Don’t touch the art.)
